Zapusty, the traditional name for carnival, is a period of fun, parties, feasting, sleigh rides, unexpected visits, and funny costumes.
When does that strange topsy-turvy time begin? And when does it end? What is its point? You will also learn how people used to have fun and what fantastic characters could be met in Mazovian carnival processions. We will try on carnival costumes and masks. During the class, each participant makes a cardboard mask inspired by Polish traditions.
