The National Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw

We gather testimonies of the diversity and richness of cultures around the world, making them a nationwide value and a common good of an open society.

In our activity, we attach particular importance to building a program that takes into account social and cultural diversity. The National Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw not only introduces the customs and traditions of many cultures, but also organizes events addressed to various groups of recipients, such as activities for children, workshops for adults or activities for seniors – conducted under the guidance of educators and specialists in particular fields.

Due to modern infrastructure, the museum’s spaces are adapted to the needs of disabled people. Our qualified employees can also be of assistance. The presented exhibitions are enriched with multimedia that facilitate the use of resources. The website of the National Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw has been created with the widest possible audience in mind and meets the WCAG 2.0 guidelines.

The Janusz Korczak Museum for Children was opened at the National Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw in January 2013.

This is the first ethnographic museum in Poland completely dedicated to children. It was created as part of the modernization of the National Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw, from the resources of the Regional Operational Program and the Self-government of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship. The Museum for Children is an integral, and at the same time autonomous and spatially distinct part of the museum.
