Birthday party details

HIGHWAYMEN AND PIRATES

During the birthday party we become Carpathian highwaymen, create their characteristic hat and learn the legend of Janosik. During a naval battle we’ll don pirate eye patches we made and join the Blackbeard’s or Anna’s crews!

AUSTRALIAN ADVENTURE

A birthday party that teaches about the animals and plants found in Australia. At the exhibition we’ll discover dot art and attempt to create something inspired by Aboriginal art. Everyone makes their own unique boomerang which they take home

IN THE SHADOW OF LOST CITIES

Using the secret art of the Maya we’ll make our own paints, which we then use to ornament symbolic mandalas. We’ll try to read the date of our birth in an Aztec calendar and our head will be adorned with war bonnets we made. We’ll listen to the legend of the Twins and participate in pre-Columbian football match.

THE BEATS OF THE AFRICAN DRUMS

We’ll learn the story of extraordinary Kazik who travelled Africa on a bicycle. While visiting the “Ordinary-Extraordinary” exhibition we’ll discover magical objects from different African tribes. We’ll learn to play the zanza and the sounds of the djembe will inspire us to create our own drums.

WHEN MONSTERS COME

Stories about ghosts, creatures and characters who live in paintings, castles, and palaces. After listening to those scary stories, we’ll create our own and present them in a shadow theatre. We’ll also use an unusual object used for scaring.

ON THE TRAIL OF FOLKLORE

Together, we’ll search for the Museum’s exhibition for famous Poles. Fryderyk Chopin will reveal the secrets of his Mazurkas, and with Oskar Kolberg we’ll discover traditional Polish folk costumes. We’ll see if Maria Skłodowska-Curie could have worn a traditional apron. We’ll paint on glass and take the picture home as an unforgettable memento.
