ABOUT EVENT

The first meeting in the series „Creative Tales”, during which we will be reading the book „Dance, Daughter of the Moon!” by Kouama Tawa. The story of the Cameroonian writer and the passion of its main character will become the inspiration for our art workshop – we will make paper dolls that will come to life!

ABOUT THE BOOK

„The Daughter of the Moon did not always walk hunched over, supporting herself with a cane. She used to be a dancer, the most wonderful dancer in the village where she was born many years ago… A beautiful poetic story by a Cameroonian poet, playwright and author of children’s books illustrated by a French illustrator. About life and human fate, about youth and old age, about what passes and what remains, about passion and dance, of course. And all this in the scenery of an African village vibrant with colors, music and stories like this one” – description from the Zakamarki publishing house website.

Author: Kuoam Tawa; illustrations: Fred Sochard; translation: Katarzyna Skalska; publishing: Zakamarki.
