CREATIVE TALES
A series of family-friendly meetings held in the educational space of the temporary exhibition „Afrotopias”. Each session is inspired by a different book, written by authors from Africa or from other Black communities outside the continent. During the event, we will read selected excerpts from the book together and then create original art pieces that reflect elements of its story.
ABOUT THE EVENT
The final workshops in the series will feature the book “Too Small Tola” by Atinuke, illustrated by Onyinye Iwu. The fascinating adventures of Tola, a little girl living in Lagos, the capital of Nigeria, will inspire us to talk about our own holiday traditions. We will reflect on why we enjoy celebrating, who we most often celebrate with, and how much work goes into preparing for different festivities! In the workshop part, we will create postcards where each of us can share our favorite holidays and traditions!
