MUSEUM ACCESS
You can reach the Museum by bus, tram, or metro.

There are several designated parking spaces for visitors with disabilities in front of the Museum (Kredytowa 1), provided by the road operator. In front of the building, there is a pavement and a pedestrian crossing.
ENTRANCE TO THE BUILDING
The main entrance is located at Kredytowa 1.
To the right of the entrance, there is an external lift (platform lift). The lift takes visitors directly to the main lobby, where the reception desk and ticket desk are located.
To use the platform lift:
- Press the intercom button next to the lift.
- Wait for assistance from the reception staff.
- A staff member will bring the lift down to ground level and unlock the door.
- Enter the lift, close the door, and hold down the button.
- After exiting on Level 1, turn left to reach the reception and ticket desk.
Wheelchair
A wheelchair is available next to the lift. The wheelchair can be borrowed for the duration of your visit to the exhibitions.
TICKETS AND ADMISSION
Visitors with disabilities and their accompanying persons may enter the Museum free of charge – tickets can be collected at the ticket desk. A ticket grants access to all permanent and temporary exhibitions.
The Museum participates in the Support for Persons with Disabilities in Mazovia programme. Participants in the programme may attend events for 1 PLN. More information is available here.
A remote Polish Sign Language (PJM) interpreting service (via the Migam application) is available at the ticket desk.
The service can also be accessed via the Museum’s website here.
An induction loop is available at the ticket desk.
TOILETS AND CLOAKROOM
An accessible toilet is located on Level -1.
Next to the toilet is a cloakroom with lockers at various heights.
To reach the toilet, turn right after exiting the lift.
MOVING AROUND THE MUSEUM
The Museum offers:
- wide passageways
- open, threshold-free entrances to exhibition rooms
- two internal lifts adapted for visitors with disabilities
- building plans on the walls and tactile maps on plinths on every floor
- 14 TOTUPOINT audio beacons
To use the audio beacons, install the TOTUPOINT app (available for Android and iOS) and switch it on. When you approach a beacon, it automatically activates and emits an acoustic signal, followed by an audio message describing your current location.
All Museum areas are accessible to visitors with assistance dogs and guide dogs. Water bowls are available on the ground floor near the café.
We provide assistance in getting from the main lobby to the exhibition Polish Flowers and from the gallery wing to the Library and Reading Room (located in the wing facing Mazowiecka Street; please check opening hours in advance).
EXHIBITION ROOMS
The exhibition spaces are located on three levels: 0, 1, and 2. All exhibitions are accessible by lift. Comfortable seating is available near the exhibition rooms for anyone wishing to rest during their visit.
Some permanent exhibitions include Braille texts.

- guided tours in Polish Sign Language (PJM) with interpretation into spoken Polish
- guided tours with audio description
- workshops for families with children on the autism spectrum
- guided tours in Simple Polish
