Family visits

A family visit to the museum: exhibitions, workshops and meetings

We are inviting you to participate in our workshops and classes for families, in meetings accompanying permanent and temporary exhibitions, cultural events, concerts, book promotions, meetings with interesting people, and cooking classes. Each month Children’s Museum and Ethnography Labs organize a wide range of events for everyone. Came and see our permanent exhibitions: “Celebration Time in Polish and European Folklore,” “The Order of Things. Piotr B.Szacki’s storeroom,” and “Biblia Pauperum. The Art of the Poor and Excluded,” as well as our temporary exhibitions that teach about traditions and cultures from all over the world.

CHILDREN’S MUSEUM

The first Polish Ethnographic Museum dedicated to children,
with its own exhibitions and an innovative educational program. In Children’s Museum everyone can be themselves, have fun, ask questions and tap their creativity. Our activities focus on discovering the rituals of everyday and holidays. Groups from schools and kindergartens visit us on weekdays, while weekends are for families, who come to our classes and workshops and learn about the culture and traditions of Poland and places across the world.  Concerts, plays, promotion events of interesting and quality books, birthday parties, summer/winter play centres, DIY workshops, that’s our world!

ETHNOGRAPHY LABS

Recognized and appreciated education spaces offering interesting ethnographic objects to see and forgotten art techniques to learn. Here, you will realize how fast our world is changing and that tradition can be a source of inspiration. Come and participate in our three series of family workshops, where you can test your skills as contemporary craftsmen, artisans, and artists. On selected Wednesdays we offer our “Afternoons in the Museum” series, and on weekends, the “Ethno-Sunday” and “Encounters with Traditions,” where you can meet special guests: the best Polish folk artists! Don’t miss them and sign up today.

Are you looking for an original venue for your project? The National Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw and the Children’s Museum are both an excellent choice!

We invite to cooperation: NGOs, companies, kindergartens, schools, hospital schools, education centres, orphanages, and internship students, trainees and volunteers.

The Children’s Museum and Ethnography Labs are a perfect place for your events. Our enthusiasm, experience, creativity and children and adult-friendly spaces will make your events unforgettable.

In the centre of Warsaw, in Kredytowa 1, you will find the best venue for people who are curious of the world, who enjoy travelling and discover new passions.
