A workshop about carnival traditions around the world.
In this workshop, we will discover how carnival is celebrated in places such as Venice, Rio de Janeiro, and Poland. We will look at why people celebrate at this time of year and what masks, costumes, and colourful decorations represent. Participants will also learn about Polish zapusty traditions and find out who the podkoziołek was. To finish, each child will create a piece of carnival costume – a carnival mask!
Target group: primary school, grades 0-3
Duration: 75 minutes
