Each peer-reviewed article is evaluated by one reviewer specialising in the subject of the article, in accordance with the principles of double-blind review. It may occur that the same person reviews articles on related topics.
In justified cases, a single-blind review may be used. This applies when the author is easily identifiable – for example, as the only or one of very few specialists in a highly niche field, as a Museum employee working with a given collection, or as a curator writing about an exhibition of their own authorship. Each such case is assessed individually by the journal’s Editorial Team.
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on the publication of an article.
The Publisher offers remuneration to article reviewers.
